This month was absolutely unforgettable and indeed life-changing. I would return in a heartbeat and be totally comfortable travelling alone in Thailand. It was so magical and felt easy compared to the intensity of Kathmandu and the majesty of those Himalayas. In Nepal, the volume of everything was cranked to 10 - the visual, emotional, the spiritual and the political. I can't believe I actually began to get used to the daily blackouts, the incessant horns and barking dogs, the insane traffic on impossibly narrow streets that were meant for pedestrians and rickshaws, not a million motorcycles, vans, busses and cars. I wish I had experienced Nepal in the hippie days of pie houses and love and peace. Right now the Maoists are jockeying for position and there's both a fragility and tension throughout the city.
So I'll close this off now as my bus for the BKK airport is about to depart. Thanks everyone who kept in touch. I'll be seeing you very soon. I'll leave you with some final images.
